LINKS
And since I'm not a golfer (yet, at least) you know I'm not referring to those kind of links. No, these are links to other websites, with comments (personal opinion, naturally) that I think merit inclusion here.
7-22-07 Got a contact from PPL, a large consignment RV dealer in Houston, TX, and was asked if I'd include their links here. After giving it some thought, I couldn't really think of any reason not to. Certainly wouldn't hurt me, and may even be an aid to you if you're looking for a used RV, and could help them make a sale, perhaps. They also have a parts store. We visited them quite a bit in early 2003 when we were in Houston for a while, and were always treated quite well. The links are: Buy or Sell Used RVs Hassle Free and RV Parts & Accessories from PPL.
1-03-06 Malia Lane is a single woman who's got a way with words. She's not afraid to admit sometimes she's a bit unsure of herself, and I hope she's an inspiration to other people who may feel like she does, so they too will take the leap of faith and try accomplishing some of their dreams. www.MaliasRV.com and
11-17-05 Beautiful memorial garden given tribute here. One of our favorite places to visit. http://www.celiasrainbowgardens.com Paul is a rather "interesting" character. Owns a bookstore in Quartzsite, AZ, his uniform of the day is usually a floppy old hat and a loin cloth sort of speedo swimsuit, or maybe it's a thong, I'm never sure. Because of that, he's got a reputation for attracting all kinds of tourists who are only mildly interested in any of his books. Anyway, the garden is a memorial to his daughter.
9-11-05 If you're considering the RV lifestyle but haven't actually done much RV'ing, you might want to check out http://www.newrver.com/ It's an offshoot of a weekly newsletter that we enjoy edited by Chuck Woodbury. His bookstore is the largest RV bookstore in the country: http://rvbookstore.com/index.aspx. Take a look at http://www.RVTravel.com for some additional RV'ing fun.
Some readers just got their website up and running, and it's pretty nice. You might want to take a look at http://luandlarry.mystarband.net/ .
Want to buy a different rig? Want to know what somebody else thinks of yours? Take a good look at Steve Savage's page, http://www.motorhomereviewonline.com and feel free to send him a review of your own. We chatted a bit at the Life On Wheels conference in 2004. Barb took his class on water, and thought it was excellent. Actually, the class was on dry land, but the subject was all wet.........not the instructor!
http://www.rversonline.org is a new one. We met Tom at the Life on Wheels conference in Moscow, ID, at the UI there in 2004. Great resource!! Tom taught a class on Geocaching http://geochaching.com and we just HAD to get involved in that as well. Tom also taught an excellent class on the pros and cons of Extended Service Contracts, sometimes referred to as "Extended Warrantees". Saved a bundle because of that class, we did.
We get questions once in a while regarding the electrical "how to's" of RVing, and one of the best sites that covers that among other fun things is the site put together by Bob & Mary Hatch. http://www.bobhatch.com/index.htm Tell them hello for us!
And the newest link for me, and one I feel particularly personal about -- www.dougjenkinscustomhotrods.com The site of my oldest son's business. If you like hot rods at all, you owe it to yourself to take a look. And even if you don't like hotrods, but you like cute granddaughters, then take a look!
Life On Wheels, www.rvlifeonwheels.com for the absolutely hands down best source of "how to" regarding anything to do with RV'ing.

The best RV club in the country -- http://www.Escapees.com With information regarding every phase of Support, Knowledge and Parking anybody would want to know. Joe and Kay Peterson have also written several books that are "must reading" for anybody considering the RV lifestyle. Best $50 we ever spent was to join the Escapees.
One of the best and perhaps most varied RV websites available -- http://www.movinon.net Ron and Barb Hofmeister have written "An Alternative Lifestyle -- Living & Traveling Full-Time in a Recreational Vehicle" (if you can find one) and "Movin' On -- Living & Traveling Full Time In A Recreational Vehicle". We've met and fallen in love with these folks, and highly recommend not only reading their book(s) but following their website.

The toughest, lightest, most "fun" boat I've ever owned -- http://www.portaboat.com Looked like a surfboard up there on top of Moby Dick.
The folding motorcycles (mini-bikes or mopeds, depending on what you want to call them) -- http://www.diblasi.com We don't know how we'd have gotten to any of the seminars on time if it hadn't been for these little rascals. They live in the forward generator compartment in the Road Abode along with a bunch of other stuff. We've even had one in the trunk of a Nissan Maxima and the lid almost shut! We've since sold ours, but still like them.
A resource for research is www.hitchitch.com for you information junkies.
One of the main purposes we'll settle someplace each winter, Lord willing, is to teach people what the Bible has to say about money. I think it must be God's favorite subject. There are over 2300 verses dealing with money and "stuff", while only about 500 dealing with salvation, another 500 or so dealing with love. Either that or God knew that His biggest competitor is our money and our stuff. Check out www.crown.org to find out more.
The newest link is http://www.campingandcampgrounds.com and is purporting to have $10 campsites across the US. I've not checked it very carefully, but I like the idea. Lemme know what you find if you spend time in any of the campgrounds, OK?
