May 2, 2007 - Lovers Key
Things got kind of stacked up as far as pictures go, so I'm going to forego the chronological sequence I usually try to stick to, and just lump topics together. Like "Birds", and "Beach", and "Fish", and just put them in slide shows. Barb took most all these pictures with her little compact camera. The bird shots that are badly "out of focus" are my fault. I cropped them down, and then the slide show software blew them back up again, and thus...... It should mostly be self explanatory, but where it's not, I'll add a note or two on the pictures. That way, my conscience will be clear and I can go play and take more pictures, OK?
Most of us have seen graffiti, and some of us have seen it where we work. Well, here at Lovers Key I've never seen it. Until the other night after putting some tools away, I walked into the break room and there it was. All over the floor! Now, Raymond and Josie were going to be covering the floor the next day with another layer of tile, and this graffiti was such that it put a big grin on my face and I had to run (well, not quite, but I did walk fast) to get the camera and record it.
Some things you should know before I "expose" it. Matt, our assistant manager, is missing the tip of his right index finger. I don't know the details, but you'll see some stuff about that. Mike S. is a ranger here, Mike H. is the manager, Brie is the park Special Services person (and volunteer coordinator), Randy is another ranger. I think that's about it. And here's what happened to the floor.
