October 7, 2000, Part II

From Vernonia, OR, it was off to Lincoln City, OR, at the Chinnok Bend RV Park.

Beautiful entrance with a waterfall for me and everything.  Of course, the waterfall was man-made and not as tall as Barby, but what the heck.  The park was mostly a fishing park and right on the river, but fortunately nobody was catching anything while we were there so my agitation stayed low.  Most exciting thing was the wooly llamas that were dainty with their eating habits.

And that's fog rolling in.  Cold, wet, miserable fog.  Already I was beginning to wish we were someplace else.  Not liking the cold has become a passion for me apparently, and since we're in it a lot (like right now when it's 34 in the mornings and gets clear up to the mid 50's during the days -- at least the colors in New England are worth the agony of shivering) I really should be getting used to it.

From Chinook Bend near Lincoln City, OR, we headed to a parking lot at Winchester Bay, OR, to spend the Labor Day weekend with friends Marc and Claudia Duske who are living in Bend, OR, but wishing they were fulltiming like us.
